The National Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Network (NHEPRN) was established in January 2011 by the then Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan, to deal with Health-related Emergency Management including Preparedness, Response and Recovery.

It was the first step towards institutionalizing the concept of Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery in Pakistan.

After devolution in June 2011, NHEPRN was transferred to the Cabinet Division and shifted to its present location at the PM’s National Health Complex (NIH Premises), however, since 9th May, 2013, NHEPRN is Sub-ordinate Office of the M/o NHSR&C.
